Video Activities

The first video activity that I completed for this course was a short YouTube movie about autumn. To create it, I used iMovie to compile personal photos and added a free stock music file from istockphoto.com. You can see the completed video and my reflections about the process of creating it here.

The second video assignment had three parts, all of which were focused on exploring the use of various utilities related to video development and editing. For this assignment, I used the Mac utility "Grab," to capture a screen shot, used the free screen video capture program "Jing" to also generate a screen shot that I then annotated and finally used Jing to record my using the resize capabilities of Mac OS 10.6's "Preview" utility. All three portions of the assignment are detailed here.

For the third and final video activity, I used features at OneTrueMedia.com to create a montage that combines photos with video and music. For the content, I uploaded four personal photos and one stock image and then used a free montage style, which filled in the transition video segments between the photos. Finally, I added music from within the software to complete the montage. You can see the final product here.
